    Bastille Prison

The French Revolution officially began on July 14, 1789 as the citizens stormed the Bastille prison. The prison no longer exists and one of the Paris opera houses is found here along with a column honoring the 1831 Paris Commune. Our tour does not visit the location of the former prison, but we will discuss the event.

Highlight of our trip

Just wanted to extend a HUGE thank you for all the kindness that I received from you & your office staff while I was recently in Paris.

I came to the office on Saturday morning, very stressed, and frustrated due to the problems I was having in Paris with my hotel (Citea) and with payment. It was so comforting and nice to find such wonderful caring people. You definitely helped in making me feel better.

I subsequently returned on Sunday and took the classic walking tour, which was amazing, and a highlight of my trip. Again, words cannot express the positive impact you and your office made on me. I really appreciate finding such a fabulous and caring group.
